This is an overall view of the courses offered by Training for Life Center.  Training for Life Center is certified by the Georgia Medical Care Foundation and is a testing site for the NHA (National Health Career Association) an organization that provides national certification for several other programs. The school began accepting students in 1999 under the leadership of two nurses, Mrs. Sylvia Robinson and Mrs. Roberta Lindsey. Several students have gone on to higher institutions of learning to prepare for R.N. and L.P.N. careers.   We have placed graduates in Long term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living facilities and physicians' offices.   We provide books and most study materials for all courses of study.  All prices includes national and state certifications.

CERTIFIED NURSING 
ASSISTANT PROGRAM

Certified Nursing Assistant: 
Completion of this program allows for employment in personal care homes, mental health facilities, hospitals and home healthcare settings providing care for individuals confined to these facilities.  It is offered Monday-Thursday 9am-2pm,  or 5pm - 10pm.  This course is six weeks in duration and provides the state required minimum of 120 hours.  Five weeks are devoted to classroom lecture/theory.  This includes demonstration and student return demonstration of basic skills and is approximately 90 hours, Followed by 30 hours of clinical training in a local Nursing Facility. Does include Georgia State Test. Call for times & dates.

CPR/First Aid Class

CPR/First Aid Course will provide students with skills needed to help a patient in time of distress.  CPR can save lives.  Our program consists of hands on CPR Training which can double the chance of a patient surviving.  

This 4 hour class is open to the public, and offered every Friday at 10am.
